It may take two to tango on New Year’s Eve, but one sex is going above and beyond to guarantee their date. WhatsYourPrice.com randomly surveyed 1,000 male and 1,000 female offers made this month alone and discovered that women actually offered much more money for a New Year’s date compared to men.
According to the results of the study, women offered an average of $178.21 for a first date on New Year’s Eve, whereas men only made an average offer of $114.93.
When asked for the motives behind their offers, a staggering 94% of the women attributed it to “not being alone for the New Year’s Eve kiss.”
Brandon Wade believes that these numbers shed light on how sentimental each sex is towards New Year’s Eve.
“Men generally make higher offers for a first date on our site, but that is not the case when it comes to the new year,” says Wade. “Our survey proves that women will go even further than men to ensure their New Year’s Eve kiss–and perhaps something even more.”
There you have it: men may constantly be searching for a kiss, but women are putting their money where their mouth is to ring in the new year.
