The average date night consists of a dimly lit restaurant, drinks and small talk over dinner. Been there, done that, right? Why not opt for a “date night” in the comfort of your own home? Invite your significant other over and impress with a do-it-yourself (DIY) rendezvous. The Internet, especially Pinterest, is chalk full of DIY activities. Check out this list of fun and intimate ideas:

Chocolate Fondue

Light a flame to get your lover’s heart burning with desire! Chocolate fondue is easy to do, plus there’s an assortment of flavors to choose from. Using a fondue pot isn’t necessary, but it does make things easier. Set the heat, melt the chocolate and voila! Feed one another succulent desserts dipped in creamy hot chocolate. If sweets aren’t your thing, fresh fruit is a healthier alternative. Everyone knows how sexy chocolate-covered strawberries are!

Wine Tasting

Ask your honey to pick up a few bottles of wine for a private tasting in your own living room. Be sure to select a new variety of wines—that way you get the full sampling experience. It’s also a good idea to make a cheese-and-cracker plate to snack on in between wines to help clear your palate. Swirl, sip and savor those wines together!

Hike & A Picnic

Get out and enjoy the great outdoors! Spring will be here before you know it. It’s the perfect time to plan an active date. Go on a hike or walk a trail at a park. Don’t forget to pack a small lunch with a blanket so you two can refuel with a picnic after working up an appetite. Outdoor activities can relieve stress, releasing endorphins and leaving you both feeling happy and refreshed.

Game Night

Dust off an old board game, get out the playing cards and make a sexy wager so both of you can win! Choose games that don’t require too much concentration; this will keep the mood light and playful. Sexy game of Sorry? Lose and you owe him a sexual favor. Naked Twister? Strip down and see if you can still put your right hand on blue and your left foot on green. The challenge here is trying to stay concentrated on the game!

It doesn’t really matter what you choose to do as long as you remember to focus on your partner and simply enjoy the time you two are spending together. Do It Yourself was never so satisfying!
